Everything is finally done, and the CD is going to mastering so from here on in it'll be Gig, gigs, and more Tom Christensen! In the year 2005, we will mostly focus on getting out there to you, the fans, partying and playing. We've already started writing some new stuff for the next album; it's more bluesy and light, but still has that trademark Raven's heavy and weirdness to it. So check us out when we come to your town Jimmy! Here are some pics a fan sent in, inspired by the song 'Wizard'! Right on Gorgolo! Keep 'em coming. Wizard 1 - Wizard 2 November 2004 Well, we've finished the first batch of mixes -- Birthday, Anti-Birthday, Rental Car, Mech-Warriors, and Utter Space. Back in the studio to finish this bad boy up on the 17th of Dec. Sounds bloody amazing. I really have to say, with all honesty, WE ARE THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD. So only 8 more songs to go and we send it to mastering. Still working on the artwork. One submission below from Scott Nickson of G.B. not6sun@yahoo.co.uk
March 2004 A short hiatus for the Ravens as Rob works out overdubs for the album while Mick records in the studio with side project, Static Lab February 2004 -Tracking at Aqua Sound The Ravens head to Aqua Sound studios to record the drums for the new album. It was three days of hard work but we feel the result was good: some solid tracking with some killer drum tones. January 2004 It great to see friends and all at the Cadillac lounge. It looks like it may be a while before we play out again as we turn our focus to extending what was supposed to be a demo to a full length album of what we figure will be 12 - 14 songs. December 2003 -- Happy Holidays... The year was loaded with tons of work and next year will be filled with even more as we close in on a final release date for the CD. P.S. Hope to see you on Dec. 11th at the Cadillac lounge. The Christmas cheer is on us! November 2003 -- In Your Face... Now that the album is in the production stages its off to Rock the Rock in the classic door to door fashion. We've just played our first show at the 360 on Friday the 6th. The crowd was great and the tunes were bitchin! We hope to see YOU soon! April 2003 -- Into the SuperUnknown... We've started recording the tracks at Indoor Mall Studios, and let us tell ya, whew! They are sounding hot! This is going to be one amazing journey, that's for sure. Looks like we're going to record about 20 songs all together and then pare that down to about 12 for an album. Or maybe not! Maybe a double album is in our future. Look for the new website to be up soon too. February 2003 -- Gears, Cogs, and Other Mechanics... The band has been rehearsing like mad, preparing for their first studio adventure. With a very excited team on board for the project, The Ravens diligently work out the fine details. January 2003 -- Pigs Fly... The Ravens line up has been solidified, with Mick Srivastava on Drums/Vox, Rob Clarkson on Guitar/bass/keys, and Greg Shean on Bass/Guitar/keys. A glorious day indeed! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
